Kyle King is an American fashion designer, growing up in Michigan in the heartland of U.S.A. King is an alumnus of Michigan State University and received a BFA in Fashion Design at Chicago's International Academy of Design. King moved to NYC where he modeled with representation by the infamous Wilhelmina agency and studied acting working with Abrams Artist Agency.
Design has ultimately always been the backbone to King's interest, and worked with another midwesterner- menswear designer John Bartlett for three years. KK went on to swimwear industry powerhouse Swimwear Anywhere and worked with American designers Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, and Donna Karan.
Kyle King the brand is a merging of classic, handsome, & timeless aesthetic paired with the modern active man sensibility. All products are designed in NYC using luxury textiles and proudly crafted with attention to detail in Pennsylvania. King has partnered up with classic heritage brand, Dolfin Swimwear, to produce the Kyle King brand. Dolfin is anchored in rich American history, initially a factory opened in 1941 with the sole purpose of manufacturing cargo parachutes for the U.S. Air Force, now gaining increasing momentum in the competitive swim industry.
KK the person and the brand both embody the American dream. Small town kid from farm country U.S.A. bringing to life his dream in New York City, one of the wold's most metropolitan cities. King is inspired by old Hollywood, American royalty the Kennedy's, heritage brands like Converse, Levi's, Jockey, Carhart, and success stories like FORD automobiles that contributed to a thriving economy.
