Kyle King is an American fashion designer, growing up in Michigan in the heartland of the US. King is an alumnus of Michigan State University and received a BFA in Fashion Design at Chicago’s International Academy of Design. King moved to NYC where he modeled contracted by the legendary Wilhelmina agency and trained vigorously in film and television arts at HB Studios, responsible for training some of America's most noted actors. King was also represented by one of the nation's most respected talent agencies, Abrams Artist Agency.

Design has ultimately always been the backbone of King’s interest in the arts, despite having history in multiple creative fields. King worked with fellow mid-westerner and menswear designer John Bartlett for several years before moving on to work in swimwear, working with American designers Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, and Donna Karan.

The Kyle King brand is a merging of a classic, handsome, and timeless aesthetics paired with the modern active man sensibility. All products are designed in New York City, with attention to detail, using luxury specially-made textiles, and are then proudly crafted in Pennsylvania. King has partnered up with classic heritage brand, Dolfin Swimwear, to produce the Kyle King brand. Dolfin is richly anchored in American history, starting as a factory opened in Pennsylvania in 1941, with the sole purpose of manufacturing cargo parachutes for the U.S. Air Force, now gaining increasing momentum in the competitive swim industry.

Kyle King, the person and the brand, both embody the American dream. Small town kid from farm country U.S.A. bringing to life his dream in New York City, one of the world’s most metropolitan cities. King is inspired by old Hollywood, the Kennedys, American heritage brands like Converse, Levi’s, Jockey, Carhartt, and success stories like Ford automobiles that contributed to and have rebounded in a thriving economy.
